Picture of Our Story

It is amazing how Lucas and I finally came together after knowing each other since middle/high school. Our families often camp at Little Wall Lake, so naturally, we would cross paths once in a while and even play sand volleyball together. But it wasn't until the fall of 2020 that we officially met and hit it off.

Our forever story began thanks to a quick chat at the grocery store between my mom and Lucas’ aunt exchanging family updates. Then, while on one of our road trips, Mom mentioned this chat and told me that Lucas was living in the area and suggested that I reach out to see what he was up to these days. So I did! After several conversations, he asked me out on a first date. We had a lovely walk at Ledges State Park, where we talked and got to know each other. My only mistake that night was that I wore new shoes which made my ankle start bleeding. We ended our walk, went to my house to get a band-aid and change shoes then continued our date by eating Sushi. That first date went so well that we have gone on many more dates since that night. We truly have so much fun together. From watching movies, games with friends, karaoke, walks, and Game of Thrones watch parties to cooking and spending time with family.

After three years together, Lucas decided to upgrade our relationship status. On December 14th, 2023, I was out running errands when he called and asked me to get wrapping paper with him. He suggested I run home to drop off the groceries before heading to the next store with him. Sounded logical to me. I walked through my door with 900 bags of groceries to find roses and candles scattered throughout my living room and Lucas standing there in a suit with a ring box in his hand. It was such a special moment and one I will never forget.

You should ask Lucas for his version of this story.

I'm so grateful for all our wonderful memories so far, and I know there's so much more to come. Let the wedding planning begin.
